    Li Bond (Liena Bondare) was born in Alūksne in 1980. She has held 11 personal exhibitions, the most significant of which are: Season 2 - Episodes in LNMA ehxibition hall Arsenāls gallery(LV), Season 1 – Episodes in the Šiauliai Art Gallery, (LT) (2017) and Kulturspiecher Dorenthe Munsterlandfestival Part 4 (2008, DE). She has taken part in various projects, exhibitions and residences in Latvia and abroad, including YAC and Guanlan Printmaking Base residencies (China), Survival K(n)it 7 (LV), KUMU Art Museum (EE), Vartai Gallery (LT), Novas Gallery, London (UK), Opole Contemporary Art Gallery and MOCAK, Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow  (2012, PL), Art Museum of Cluj (RO) and others. She has taken part in international competitions: 13th and 15th Tallinn Print Triennials, International Print Triennial Krakow 2012 in Poland and 8 BIECTR in Quebec. She was the initiator and curator of the Latvian exposition 3 FREE in Klaipeda (2018, LT), Et nuit illumina la nuit in the exhibition Exposition d’Art Contemporain Balteat Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris, France (2008) and the exhibition of contemporary graphic art Power and Man in Novas Gallery, London, UK (2006) as well as 12 other exhibitions in Latvia and abroad.

    Since 2005 Bondare is the teacher of drawing in Riga School of Design and Art and from 2006 – 2009 she was lecturer of silkscreen in Art Academy of Latvia. Her works are in collection of China Printmaking museum (China), Frans Masereel Centrum (Belgium), Latvian National Museum of Art and Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center (Latvia).
